Introduction

We are pleased to announce that “Global Health Issues and Wound Care” are the themes for our 9th International Academic Conference 2017. This year our keynote speaker will be Prof. Kevin Woo, the Deputy Director of the School of Nursing and School of Rehabilitation at Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada. He will share with us wound related pain and nursing outcomes. The goal of the conference is to provide an interdisciplinary communication platform for professionals in healthcare, academics and researchers all of whom are welcome to join our annual international conference.

The conference will be held at the International Conference Hall, Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology(CTUST).

Official Language

The official language will be English for keynote speakers in morning sessions on the May 5-6, 2017. The other sessions will be in Mandarin Chinese.

The conference proceeding will be provided to all delegates.

All registrations to the conference will be closed at April 14, 2017.

 

Registration fee

  1. For full conference attendance :
  • Regular charge: NT $ 2,000 will be required.
  • Early birds charge: NT $1,500; registration deadline is on April 7, 2017.
  • Students at Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology(CTUST), who provide the student identity card and register before April 14, 2017, will be charged NT $1,500.
  1. For the delegates coming from other country, the fees can be paid in cash (NT dollars) at registration desk on the first conference day.
  2. Please, be notified:

Registration will be only confirmed once the payment is received.

For overseas delegates, we will send you back an email to confirm that your registration has been successfully processed.

 

Refunds/Cancellations:

If we are informed by your notification of cancellation before April 28, 2017, you will have a refund, minus a 30% processing fee. After the date, we are sorry for being unable to accept any claim for cancellation refund.

 

Certifications:

One-day conference registration is allowed. The delegates of nursing staff will be credited their actual attending hours to the Nursing/Nursing Practitioner Continuous Education System. Other medical professionals will be given a certificate for their attendance.

Abstract Format:

  1. Abstracts are to be no more than 500 words including sub-headings. The abstract should be

   submitted on the provided template in English (page 9)

  1. Abstracts should include the name, title, degrees, organizational affiliation, and email

 contact of the lead presenter.

  1. Abstracts are to be written with the following sub-headings:

- Introduction/Background/Significance

- Aims/Objectives/Hypothesis/Goals or Problem

- Approach/Methods/Procedure

- Results/Findings/Outcomes

- Discussion/Implications for practice

- Conclusion

 

All abstracts must be submitted by 5pm, on March 3, 2017 (GMT+8) in Microsoft Word format via the online submission link: /p/423-1010-929.php?Lang=zh-tw

All Submissions will be reviewed by research committee. This is a blind review process, and reviewers will not see authors’ names or school affiliations. Presenting authors only will be notified of review results via e-mails on March 31, 2017.

At least one author of a poster presentation is expected to stand by their poster display during session breaks, in order to discuss findings and answer questions. Oral presentation will be individually invited by the committee and held at the conference on the May 5-6, 2017.

A certificate of presentation will be issued to those presenting their research in oral or poster sessions.

These directions are written in the format required for abstracts for the 9th International Academic Conference 2017. We advise you to download these directions as a MS Word document and use it as the template.

  1. The abstract should not exceed TWO A4 pages and no more than 500 words (including all the texts).
  2. Page margins should be 3 cm for top margin, right, left and bottom margins. Use font type Times New Roman, with single spaced lines.
  3. Title of the paper (style: “Research Title” & “Subtitle”, 14 points, all caps, centred) could span a maximum of two rows, and is followed by one blank line.
  4. Author’s names are written (style: “Authors”, 12 points, centred) with initials followed by dot, family names are written in full. Authors are separated by commas and marked with superscript when necessary to distinguish authors from different affiliations.
  5. Author’s affiliations (style: “Author’s affiliations”, 12 points, italic, centred) are written in separate rows when there are more than one and last is followed by two blank lines. Abstract text (style “Paper text”, 12 points) is justified on middle; paragraphs are not indented, only separated by one blank line.
